Abbiamo soggiornato per tre notti presso l'appartamento la Cascia e ci siamo trovati benissimo, nonostante il tempo non ci abbia assistiti. Abbiamo trovato una vera casa completa di tutto, specialmente la cucina, che per me era fondamentale avendo due bambini piccoli. Io sinceramente lo consiglio..... posso solo immaginare che panorama c'è con il sole.

We have spend two wonderful weeks in 'La Cascia'/'Molino di Nelle' where the last is the most peaceful place we ever have stayed. I our four days there we experienced deer, pheasant and birds of pray just outside the house. But most important was the kindness and helpfulness we received from Sandro and family Orlandini - thank you for allowing us to have such a lovely time in your place. Boots

Wir haben als Familie mit 2 Kindern bereits 4 mal unseren Sommerurlaub bei Familie
Orlandini verbracht und zwar jeweils für 3 Wochen. Dies beweist, dass es uns dort
traumhaft gut gefällt. Einzigartig ist das schöne, weitläufige Areal um die Mühle, wo
man die Ruhe und Natur völlig ungestört genießen kann. Auch Kindern wird hier nicht
langweilig, weil sie am Bach spielen und die Umgebung erkunden können. Zur
Erfrischung für die ganze Familie lädt der schöne Pool mit seiner Sonnenterasse ein,
der zu Fuß in 20 Minuten erreichbar ist oder aber in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto.
Von der Pool-Terasse aus kann man den wunderschönen Ausblick auf die umliegenden
Wälder bis hin nach Pistoia genießen. Das Meer ist etwa eine Autostunde entfernt und
damit gut für Tagesausflüge geeignet. Während unserer Urlaube sind wir immer mehrfach
zum Baden ans Meer gefahren. Auch für Kulturausflüge ist der Standort sehr günstig
(Florenz, Prato, Pistoia, Lucca). Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Herzlichkeit,
Hilfsbereitschaft und die Gastfreundschaft der Familie Orlandini. Wir fühlen uns dort
jedes mal zu Hause wie in einer großen Familie. Man kann sich übrigens auch ohne
italienische Sprachkenntnisse gut verständigen, da Sandro Deutsch und Englisch
spricht. Vielen Dank für die schönen Aufenthalte. Wir werden noch häufig
wiederkommen.

After 3 strenuous weeks touring through Italy we spent a most relaxing week at this charming part of Tuscany. Lovely surroundings, comfortable accommodation, and the generous hospitality of Sandro and his family made this the unforgettable highlight of our trip, made more joyous by the arrival of Sandro's first child, Margherita, the day before our arrival. Perfectly located for accessing the delights of Northern Tuscany, this was the perfect place rest and reflection,(and for recharging our batteries for the long flight back to Australia), and the delightful little village of LeGrazie, a vigourous but rewarding walk up the mountain, will long remain in our memories. The highlight of our first trip to Italy was our relaxing week in April, 2009 at the Orlandini family's Agriturismo Barbicaio. This peaceful and lovely setting, along with the cordial attention from Sandro, gave us an authentic taste of rural life. While the location is ideal for visiting the popular spots in northern Tuscany, it is equally conducive to exploring the scenic samll hill towns nearby. LaGrazie, just minutes away, features a lively family oriented restaurant. Sandro is fluent in English and went out of his way to help us with our explorations and needs--even booking us a room at our next stop in Bologna. We stayed in the charming apartment--spacious, clean and accomodating in every way. And the rates were very reasonable. We highly recommend this very special countryside get-away. Begin June 2008, after 2 weeks in the Alpi Apuane mountains, we had a fantastic and relaxing week in "La Cascia": the appartment has a very attractive old Tuscany atmosphere, feeling "at home" immediately! The location is very quiet with magnificant views on the Saturnana valley, the nearby old church and further away on Pistoia, especially at dusk when the citylights switch on. Wir haben in den Pfingstferien eine Woche in der Mühle mit unseren beiden Töchtern (8 und 11 Jahre) verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Begeistert hat uns besonders die Lage der Mühle, d.h. die Ruhe und Abgelegenheit in der schönen Natur. Dennoch sind Ausflugsziele wie Luca, Pisa und Florenz relativ schnell erreichbar. Sandro und seine Familie waren stets darauf bedacht, dass wir uns wohl fühlen und wir haben uns sehr über seine Gastfreundschaft gefreut. Wir danken nochmals für den gelungenen Urlaub!

Con la mia famiglia ed un gruppo di amici, abbiamo soggiornato nell'agriturismo per sette giorni. Semplicemente favoloso. L'accoglienza della fam. We spend our holidays in Molino di Nelle. There were the best vacations in our life! There are some reasons to visit this place: silence and roar of the water in stream are very relaxabile, everywere are too many flowers and green grass and the birds has all the time a concert under the tuscany sky. the most important thing is so kind and engage owner this place. To this moment, we didn't meet so friendly person like Sandro. Beautiful, quiet Molino and nice family Orlandini are the most important trumps Agroturismo Barbicaio. Ciao ragazzi... se passate dalle parti di Pistoia e cercate un psoto dove rilassarvi, godervi il panorama, chiacchierare con chi sa di boschi e natura, chiamate Sandro... Noi abbiamo passato lì un Capodanno da favola... E fra qualche giorno andrammo i miei genitori per festeggiare l'anniversario di matrimonio... Veramente da non perdere... My wife and I (from Denmark) enjoyed staying in 'Il Picchio'. The house is comfortable for our taste, and Sandro did his utmost to make us feel welcome. Of course he accompanied us from the reception to the very remote house, or we would never have found the house!! Sandro most willingly told us all about restaurants, places to visit during the stay, and we certainly took advantage of this offer! We stayed there for 6 nights during April 2008. The weather was not the best, but that was not Sandro's fault! The surroundings are very quiet with a lot of fresh air. The house is charming and well restored with a lot of space. If we ever return to Firenze we shall not hesitate to come back to Il Picchio, and would like to see Sandro and his family again, not to mention baby Margherita. We have just reluctantly returned from a really relaxed family stay at the Watermill. This really is a 'get away from it all' place - the only sounds are the birds and the water streaming down from the mountains above. The cottage is really comfortable and Sandro a really welcoming host. Idyllic.

Agriturismo Barbicaio,una bella realtà delle colline pistoiesi. Sono un cliente che si è trovato talmente bene da pubblicizzarlo ad amici e parenti. Ho prenotato la settimana di Pasqua e proprio in quel periodo mi hanno contattato una coppia di amici. Quale miglior occasione per far provare anche a loro le mie sensazioni? Detto e fatto.Risultato, hanno confermato tutto, appartamenti molto belli e caratteristici,gestiti da Sandro e i suoi familiari in modo egregio. Una esperienza da ripetersi.

Un excellent séjour passé au "Molino di Nelle" et d'inoubliables moments passés en Toscane, à l'occasion de notre voyage de noces en juin 2007. La "magie des lieux" y est pour beaucoup, le charme rustique et la quiêtude des environs, et biensur l'accueil chaleureux de la famille Orlandini ont fait le reste. Nous espérons vraiment revenir bientôt! Un endroit à découvrir en famille, ou entre amis, c'est certain.

Il nostro natale 2007 al Mulino e stato fantastico. Veramente un ambiente perfetta in mezzo al bosco, a fianco del ruscello ma anche a qualche passi della fermata dell pullman per Pistoia. Grazie a Sandra, Sandro e il Babo Orlandini per la lora ospitalita, gentilezza e per questo posto indimenticabile. Nous avons passé la Noël 2007 au Mulino et vraiment, c'était parfait. Le site: maison de pierre au milieu des bois mais tout de même à 5min du bus. Le Mulino est magnifique, tant à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur. La famille Orlandini, très chaleureuse et serviable. Siamo stati ospiti della vostra struttura solo per 3gg ma devo dire che sono stati 3 gg fantastici. Mio figlio di 3 anni ed il cane hanno goduto molto del posto e del bel tempo trovato pur essendo dicembre. Gli ambienti della casa sono semplici ma puliti ed accoglienti e la tranquillità e l'aria pulita hanno fatto il resto. Credo che potendo starci qualche giorno in più, magari in primavera, sia il luogo ideale dove ritemprarsi anima e corpo per adulti e bambini. A presto paola, alessio&Co

L’agriturismo è semplicemente fantastico, ho soggiornato per 4 giorni nell’appartamento “Molino di Nelle” che ha lasciato letteralmente affascinati ed innamorati me ed i miei compagni di viaggio sia per la sua bellezza oggettiva che per la cortesia e la disponibilità delle persone. Ringrazio ancora una volta Sandro per la bella vacanza che ci ha fatto trascorrere e la sua disponibilità e cortesia più totale. Se dovessi consigliare un posto dove trascorrere del tempo nel verde e nel relax, immerso nella tranquillità più totale con paesaggi da cartolina e nello stesso tempo a pochissimi minuti dal centro di Pistoia e da altri fantastici posti della Toscana, consiglierei sicuramente l’agriturismo Barbicaio.

Sono un cliente insieme alla mia famiglia dell'Agriturismo Barbicaio, un posto che mi aveva colpito in positivo già con le foto riportate nel sito. Ho avuto la fortuna di conoscere Sandro e i suoi familiari, da loro ho ricevuto tanta ospitalità insieme a tanta professionalità. Gli appartamenti sono molto caratteristici e belli. Dimenticavo un particolare le foto del sito rispecchiano la realtà una bella realtà.

We enjoyed a great family holiday here, our children are 11 and 10 years of age. The Watermill is like a fairytale hide-away. Though very basic and rustic it does provide all mod-cons (well, enough for a holiday when you're not interested in cooking Christmas dinner!). We had lots of relaxing outdoor cooking experiences. The pool, up the hill, is a lovely spot to sunbathe and relax and for the children to 'chill'. Sandro and his family were quite exceptional in their generosity of hospitality - his father is very talented with a tree trunk and a chain saw! We stayed there in the lead-up to his marriage which was subsequently held in the grounds. He has just sent us some photos of the big day - how magical, Congratulations Sandro! There is a great pizzeria in Le Grazie but I still don't know how we managed to squeeze our car through those streets! Good luck Sandro, we wish you well for the future! We were six people who spent three weeks in Italy and stayed at six different places. The "Watermill" was, without a doubt, the best of the bunch. It is an evocative old stone building beautifully restored by Sandro and his family. The setting in the woods by a creek is peaceful and rejuvinating, the views from the village and pool are lovely, and the hospitality and helpfulness of the hosts are exceptional. Moreover, the rates are very reasonable and the location just north of Pistoia is ideal for anyone visiting Florence, Lucca, Pisa, and the surrounding region of northern Tuscany. We would recommend this accommodation without reservation. This is as good as it gets if you want a taste of authentic Italy.

Nestled in the small hamlet of Saturna just outside Pistoia agriturismo Barbicaio is a place to get away from it all.Sandro and family will make you most welcome from inviting you to the community get together on Sundays in the local hall [pizzas and drinks] to giving you all the information on the surrounding areas and sites.A 1 1/2 kilometre walk up the road to the village of La Grazie will bring you to a lovely homely restaurant, Saturdays where the people of the area descend for food and chat brings a delightful "BuZZ" to the place coupled with the fact that Sandro has negociated a 15% discount with his family freind [the owner].Sandro [fluent in English,German] will give you as much info on the area as you wish.Villages further up the valley will give you a real flavour of Tuscanny, however you will need a car to transport yourselves to these places [Sadro again can organise this].Pistoia is ideally situated between Pisa [60klms] and Florence [30klms]well worth day trips as is Lucca and the thermal spa at Montacatini[take the train where possible -cheap and reliable].All in all a great place to relax enjoy the wine and local habitat of the Tuscan people.

We really enjoyed our days with Sandro and his family in the hills over Pistoia - a beautiful view over Pistoia. It is well located in the mountains and you can reach big cities (Pistoia, Lucca, Firenze) easily. The nature up there is fantastic and it is a really relaxed place to be. The apartment we had was really nice and in 'real old Tuscany style'. If we come back to the area we will definitely visit Agriturismo Barbicaio again!

Abbiamo passato qui quattro giorni davvero piacevoli. L'appartamento "la Cascia" è grande e ben organizzato, ideale anche per soggiornare con bambini. L'accoglienza della famiglia davvero calorosa.
