Podere il Tigliolo is situated in the heart of the Parco Naturale della Val d’Orcia, between San Quirico d’Orcia and Montalcino, surrounded by tuscan countryside. It is a most beautiful sample of rural architecture, faithfully restored; it is composed of 6 comfortable furnished apartments, each with its own entrance and outside space. A big garden, a swimming pool (7x15 metres), ping-pong, bocce area, children playground, barbecue, laundry and a large hall for cultural and recreational activities are available for guests. The proverbial hospitality of the hosting families Mariottini and Falsetti will lead guests into an unforgettable holiday between past and present times, through artistic towns, countryside and thermal springs, which are world-wide famous.
In the closest surrounding of the house you will find Bagno Vignoni, famous for its thermal springs “where you can bathe in winter as well as in summer” since the Roman times; Montalcino whose wine, “Brunello”, is appreciated all around the world; and Pienza “the city born by a loving thought and a dream of beauty” as the poet Giovanni Pascoli wrote. Besides, you can easily reach other towns such as Montepulciano, Castiglione d’Orcia, Rocca d’Orcia, Montichiello, Bagni San Filippo, Radicofani, Monte Follonico, l’Abbazia di Monte Oliveto e di Sant’Antimo. In a single day trip you can visit other places of great architectural and natural beauty, such as Siena (50 Km), Firenze (110 Km), San Gimignano (70 Km), Monteriggioni (60 Km) and Castellina in Chianti (70 Km).
