Situated on a hilltop, the country house enjoys a splendid panoramic view that stretches as far as the eye can see, embracing the River Tiber and the Tevere-Farfa nature oasis; the gentle Sabina hills, winding their way as they alternate olive groves with pasture-lands, Mount Soratte and, in the distance, the lights of Rome and Tivoli.
The olive trees along the hill slopes meet the cultivated fields in the valley below where the tranquil Tiber crosses the oasis on its way to Rome.
Casale di Colle, the name of the country house accommodation, comes from the coat of arms on the front of the building. Until 1923 the property belonged to Princess Donna Teresa Torlonia-Gerini and formed part of the Marquisate of Torrita Tiberina.
Under the spell of the Roman countryside panorama of hills, take a total rest, or relax on long, magnificent walks. The Casale di Colle property dates from the 1800’s and its accommodation consists of completely renovated apartments that provide an ideal base for visiting nearby historical cities such as Rome, Tivoli and Farfa.
A sitting room is available for clients, and in the summer months a 14x5m swimming pool. All apartments have private bathrooms, TV and independent central heating. Recreational and sport activities offered include excursions to abbeys, castles, museums etc., trekking and cycle tours, and participation in the olive harvest. Horses can be stabled or kept in the open.
